Every September, the Korean American community in New Jersey celebrates the Chuseok Festival, an event organized by the Korean Association of New Jersey. This vibrant gathering is designed to support and celebrate Korean immigrants, highlighting traditional culture with visits from popular celebrities from Korea. Various community organizations host numerous events, fostering a sense of camaraderie and cultural pride.

This year's celebration was no exception, with the participation of "Mom & I" in the 'Missy Beauty Model Fashion Show.' Ahead of the fashion show, Mom & I, along with the Missy Beauty Models, spent a special day at MOIM Photo Studio in Ridgefield for a memorable photo shoot.

A total of over 20 participants, including eight selected Missy models, sponsor representatives, and Mom & I staff, attended this event. It was an opportunity for these women to express their identity and allure as individuals, not merely as wives or mothers. This unique occasion allowed the Missy models to create happy memories, offering a break from their routine lives.

Thanks are extended to the participating Missy models, the supporting sponsors, and MOIM Studio for capturing these moments. Readers are invited to explore the vivid moments from the Missy Beauty Model photo shoot.

Mom & I not only publishes monthly magazines but also hosts numerous events with the Korean community throughout the year. The photo shoot for the Missy Beauty Model Fashion Show was an adventurous and memorable experience, especially for many who typically live as homemakers. The eight participating models, ranging from young brides to middle-aged women enjoying a second chapter in life, were brought together through posters and social media advertising, creating a meaningful and rewarding experience.

Interview Highlights:

Bora Kim, with her striking vitality, is a Missy with a diverse background. Two years into her marriage, she completed her high school and college education in Arizona and previously attended schools in Shanghai. Fluent in three languages, Bora is currently learning Spanish. A travel enthusiast and sports lover, she prefers saving for flights over splurging on luxury items. Her hobbies include kiteboarding and spending time with positive friends.

Eun-seon Kim: A cute and lively spirit, Eun-seon was known for her meticulous planning until motherhood shifted her priorities. Despite her altered lifestyle, she cherishes family togetherness. Her husband's enthusiasm introduced her to Mom & I, and she is thrilled to participate. Her journey as a working mom balances her role as a furniture designer with family life.

Hye-ryung Yang: Known for her graceful smile, Hye-ryung is a full-time mom with a flair for fashion. Formerly part of a fashion company, she welcomed this adventurous day at the photo shoot. If given free time from parenting, she would love to spend it with friends.

In-hye Kim: Desiring to participate in beauty pageants as a child, In-hye fulfilled her dream through this event. A stay-at-home mom in New Jersey, she finds joy in this unique experience amidst her parenting routine.

Mi-do Hyun, with her confident demeanor, has dedicated herself to motherhood. After a career in graphic design, she aspires to return to work once her children grow. A craft and cooking enthusiast, she embraces this event as a cherished memory before her upcoming fortieth birthday.

Geum-ha Kim surprised everyone with her professional poses. An expert in skincare, she balances her career in a beauty clinic with her creative pursuits. Enjoying music on her commutes, she actively participates in church volunteer work.

Eun-seon Cho: Embracing solitude, Eun-seon has spent over two decades in a non-profit career. Preferring quiet and meaningful connections, she finds happiness in small joys and cherishes time with family.

Jae-kyung Park, returning from a family trip to Paris, is a financial expert who engages deeply with the business world. Living a fulfilling second chapter, she finds contentment in golf, culinary adventures, and self-reflection.

The event was supported by several sponsors. Foxiedox, a well-known Korean clothing company, provided 20 outfits. Eunice Cha of Gems & Tools contributed handmade custom jewelry. Makeup artist Hae-kyung Yoo from Wedding House and CoCo Hair enhanced the models’ appearances. A three-tier cake was contributed by Hanacake, with Events By 09 beautifying the venue with floral arrangements.

Thanks to MOIM Studio for offering the venue and capturing these timeless memories. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all sponsors who made this event a radiant success. Although the photo shoot concluded in a few hours, the cherished memories remain in the hearts of all who participated.
