Introducing our lifelong friend, our pet!

What does having a pet mean to modern individuals? Reflecting the trend of increasing single-person households and the growing distance in human relationships, one in five people in Korea now owns a pet. The pet economy has even given rise to a new term, indicating the expanding market related to pets. Pets can alleviate human loneliness by sharing emotions, providing comfort and healing from the intense competition and feelings of loss often experienced in human relationships. Children who have pets tend to appreciate the value of life more than their peers and have a better understanding of the concepts of life and death. We would like to introduce the adorable pets in our community that show unconditional love.

Shih Tzu

Breed 1:
Shih Tzu - White Brown
Name: Ruby
Age: 2 years

Breed 2:
Shih Tzu - White
Name: Coco
Age: 14 years

Shih Tzus have gentle personalities and are incredibly lovely as companion dogs. The younger one, Ruby, is bright and active, while the older one, Coco, has lost sight in one eye due to age. Despite Coco's advanced age and health issues, we will always care for both Coco and Ruby as beloved family members.

Jindo

Breed: Jindo and Pungsan Mix
Name: Nala Um
Age: 1 year 6 months
Children: Evelyn Um (13 years old), Madison Um (8 years old)

In March 2019, we welcomed Nala Um, a female puppy, into our family when she was just six weeks old. With large paws like a lion's and intelligence and bravery reminiscent of Simba from The Lion King, Nala has a unique ability to read people's emotions. She is a precious member of our family who brings warmth and happiness to our lives.

Toy Poodle

Breed: Toy Poodle
Name: Maru
Age: 6 months
Child: Grace Yuna Joung (9 years old)

Maru joined our family at two months old as we began staying home due to the pandemic. She spends her days energetically exploring the house with her only sibling, Yuna. Whenever Yuna is around, Maru pulls on her clothes, asking to play. Our whole family is incredibly happy because of Maru.

Shiba Inu

Breed: Shiba Inu
Name: Sky
Age: 1 year 8 months
Child: Ashley Oh (8 years old)

Sky was adopted when she was three months old and has been with us for over a year now. She is a smart dog who understands most commands and particularly loves to hear the word "walk." She receives plenty of love from her two older sisters and the entire family.

Maltese

Breed: Maltese
Name: Mandu
Age: 7 months
Children: Sophie Park (8 years old), Aiden Park (6 years old)

During the pandemic, our children were eager for a pet, so we adopted Mandu when he was five months old. Now, Mandu has adapted well and has become an irreplaceable part of our family. Thanks to Mandu, we go for more walks, which has helped us stay healthy.
