Frances M. Lacinak, principal of Christ The Teacher School, along with a diverse faculty, fosters a safe and nurturing educational environment under the motto "Respecting the differences and similarities of all individuals," motivating students to build self-esteem while helping others.
How does a religious-based private academy differ from most schools in Bergen County? Religion is a crucial part of life and educates us on accepting those around us. Our programs are challenging, involving family participation programs and community service projects, as well as engaging students in a variety of activities such as STEM research, agricultural projects, arts, music, and language courses.
We proudly support our exceptional students in attending Bergen County's top schools, celebrating their achievements and superior test scores.
We have a faculty with diverse backgrounds, including Korean teachers, who assist students and parents in overcoming language barriers while providing general information. Many students who began in September have shown confidence in using English by the end of their first semester.
We continually encourage parents to actively participate in school programs. Open houses and tours offer parents the opportunity to visit the school with their children and explore the classrooms and facilities. Additionally, our school does not restrict fundraising and creative activities, aiding in building community relations and improving the home atmosphere.
Furthermore, parents can personally host events like Chuseok or Easter breakfasts, showcasing traditional attire and hosting parties. The school also organizes joint events like the Pinot Palette painting class for parents and teachers, allowing parents to enjoy the facilities and meet other parents.
Christ The Teacher School is not a typical private school found in New York City or other areas in New Jersey. The staff cares for each student individually and respects cultural diversity. All students, including Korean students, can enjoy a comfortable environment akin to home, experiencing not only religious values but a meaningful education. Parents enrolling their children will feel proud.
